available to answer any queries or concerns you may have. Please

Communion is at 10am on Thursdays. Morning prayer is at 8.15am on
Wednesdays. Evensong on the 2nd and 4th Sundays in the month. Evensong
will continue during the winter months and the time of the Sunday
evening service is 4.30pm and this will continue until February.
The Altar flowers on Sunday 5th February are for Beryl and Colin Kingman on the occasion of 50 years of marriage.
The Altar flowers on Sunday 12th February are in memory of Bob Giblett from his wife Phyllis and family.
St George’s bell ringers lead by Tony Spillar will be ringing from 12
noon to 12.30pm on Monday 6th February to celebrate the Sixtieth
Anniversary of the Accession of Queen Elizabeth 11.
Appointment of new Vicar. The short-listed candidates for the post will
be shown around St George's and St Andrew's West Stafford, and will be
interviewed on 6th and 7th February. It is hoped that an appointment
can be made shortly afterwards.
The next meeting of St. George’s Church Council will be held on Tuesday
14th February at 7.30pm in the Edward Chapel. The heating will be
on!!
Memorial Service for Mr Percy Sennett. Many in the congregation
will remember Percy, who worshipped at St. George’s before moving some
years ago to the Royal Hospital, Chelsea, where he died recently.
His funeral took place at the Royal Hospital, and there will be a
Memorial Service for him at St. George’s at 10.0am on Saturday 11th
February. After the Service, his ashes will be interred in the
Garden of Remembrance.
The Emmaus House Group meet on Monday February 20th at 13 Fordington
Dairy at 7.30pm. “We will be discussing a chapter of the new book we
have chosen and you are welcome to join us”.
Pastoral visits. If you would welcome a pastoral visit by one of
the Clergy or Lay Ministers, or if you know someone who would like such
a visit, please contact the Rector (Canon Harold Stephens Tel: 268434)
or one of the Churchwardens.
Hymns. If you have a favourite hymn which you would like to
suggest we use at either the 10.15 Parish Communion service or at
Evensong, please have a word with our Organist, Evelyn Kingman; she
will be pleased to receive your request.
Microwave oven seeks happy home. If you are interested in
acquiring a quite large and little used microwave, please contact, Tim
Bullick, Churchwarden (Tel:01305 265171). It could be yours in
exchange for a donation to church funds.
St George's Day Fair 21st April. The Events Committee are
planning this year's fair and would be very grateful for donations for
the following stalls:

Preserves - Jams, Marmalades & Chutneys (Seville oranges available now)

items to a member of the Events Committee or leaving them on the steps
at the back of the church.
