Our new Team Vicar

We look forward to welcoming the Rev. Vicky Thurtell as our new Team Vicar, who will also be responsible for our mission to young people. She will be licensed on the first of September by the Bishop of Sherborne. The service will be at 7.30 p.m. in St. Peter's Church.

Janet Cooper goes to Malawi

In June, Janet Cooper will be spending some time in Malawi, as a member of a team which will bring the benefits of optical treatment to the people there, who would otherwise have their eyesight problems untreated. She asks you to remember this work in your prayers, and if possible, to support the work of Vision Aid Overseas, who have arranged the project.

  John White 400 Festival

A total of £2,000 was raised from the various events held in the 2006 JW400 festival, and was presented to a number of charities who are active in the town to help continue his work. More details are to be found under News.

Brass Cleaning. 

Volunteers are needed to help in the therapeutic task of brass cleaning on Saturday mornings.  If you can help, however infrequently, please speak to Doreen Cooper (257528) or Norman Scott (263412).

Transport. 

It would be useful to have more car drivers willing to help members of the congregation when the regular helpers are unavailable.  If you can help, please contact Doreen Cooper (257528) or Bryan Stephenson (267724).
